Continuing with the use of scrap sheet aluminum came about this set of two incense holders. With this set of two, I wanted the silhouettes to look delicate but with a sense of tension. With limited resources, the aluminum is hand bent along a pre-existing pipe. The secondary material of leather adds a layer of softness to the stiff metal, all while creating a base with more friction to prevent slipping. The leather had also been sourced from scraps, then layered together using contact cement to add thickness and weight.
