With Wool!

We were tasked with the challenge of creating something using raw wool from Alberta that is dubbed as “unusable animal by-product”. Working closely with Tara Klager of Providence Lane Homestead, we quickly determined that the vast majority of wool from meat sheep are thrown out as a result of it being a financial liability and a time consuming process from creature to consumer.

This reclaimed wool lamp duo is completely hand processed. Meant to highlight wool’s natural light dampening ability, the two lamps are each felted with a pattern representing BC and Alberta’s landscape.
